You might think that attire doesn’t matter if you’re hunting for a coding job, but consider this: would you hire someone who shows up in flip-flops and shorts, or someone who looks polished and professional? Your appearance speaks volumes! Always opt for smart attire to leave a lasting impression. 💼

Be Prepared: Carry Extra Resumes 📄

It’s always wise to bring along around 15 copies of your resume. If you have a tablet, consider showcasing your projects on it too. It’s an excellent way to stand out! 🎉

Do Your Research 🔍

Before you step into the fair, do your homework! Identify 5-10 companies that pique your interest and jot down why. This will help you navigate the event with purpose and confidence. 📝

Must-Do Actions on Site

1. Engage with Small Talk: Prepare a 30-second small talk followed by a 30-second self-introduction that leaves a memorable impression.
2. Ask for Contacts: This is essential! Don’t hesitate to ask for a business card or a LinkedIn connection. Remember: ask, ask, ask! 🙌

Follow Up After the Fair 📧

Within one week post-event, make sure to follow up! You might be surprised to find that 99% of attendees shy away from this due to awkwardness or lack of time. Don’t be part of that statistic—send out a coffee chat invite! I’ve included a follow-up template in the second image. Grab it quickly and make your next move! ☕
