A Family Vacation in Sedona: Discovering Enchantment Resort
Before diving into our unforgettable experience, I want to share this purely informative account to help friends planning a trip with their little ones. 🌟 Our family spent a delightful holiday at Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona, just a few days before Christmas. Traveling with a 1.5-year-old can be quite challenging, but this trip was nothing short of wonderful!
Location, Location, Location! 🗺️
The resort is about a 2-hour drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and its location is simply unbeatable. Nestled right in one of Sedona’s famous energy vortexes, we enjoyed easy access to hiking trails without the hassle of competing for parking spaces. Waking up to the idea of heading straight up the mountains was exhilarating!
Every room in the resort offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and starry night skies, making even a daytime rest in our room a lovely experience. There’s no doubt that this resort connects you with nature, embodying the essence of a serene getaway. 🌄
Activities for the Whole Family 👪
The resort is well-equipped with amenities that cater to sporty parents. We had an amazing time playing tennis with our toddler (there’s even a ball machine!), and we loved the relaxed atmosphere by the heated pool. Sipping coffee while soaking up the sun and gazing at the distant mountains added a unique touch to our vacation.
Every day, we were delighted to spot mule deer casually munching on grass around the property. They were friendly yet slightly wary, offering a captivating connection to the local wildlife.
Dining with a View 🍽️
The highlight of our culinary experience was undoubtedly the hotel’s restaurant, featuring a 360-degree view of Sedona’s beautiful mountains. Waking up early allowed us to catch the breathtaking sunrise, while the evenings were perfect for unwinding by a cozy campfire with refreshing drinks and soothing jazz music. There are two main restaurants on-site, both offering delicious yet upscale meals. Luckily, our room came with a kitchen, allowing us to save some money by preparing simple meals ourselves!
Additionally, the resort is only a 15-minute drive from the charming town of Sedona, where we found the essential Monkey Father supermarket for all our needs. 🛒 Whether it was diapers for our little one or sunscreen available by the pool, the thoughtful touches really made our stay enjoyable.
Welcoming Environment for Kids 🌼
During our four-day stay, the staff at the resort were incredibly patient, friendly, and entertaining towards our child. They also offer a kids’ camp for kids aged four and up, which we decided to save for our next visit! There are, however, a few things worth mentioning for parents considering a trip:
- 1. The crib in our room was metal and rather uncomfortable, leading us to bring our travel bed.
- 2. There’s no dedicated playground for smaller children, but plenty of other activities are available.
- 3. Don’t forget to bring swimwear! 🩱
Final Thoughts 🌟
Overall, our family vacation in Sedona was a wonderful experience filled with unforgettable moments and the beauty of nature. I wish everyone joyful travels, and remember, every moment counts! Whether it’s your first family trip or a regular vacation, there’s always something new to explore. Happy travels! 🚀
