Exciting news for hiking enthusiasts in Singapore! A new free hiking route has opened right next to the renowned Singapore Zoo. This past Sunday, I took my kids on a scenic 2.7 km hike and gathered all the essential tips for you. Let’s ensure every hiking lover in Singapore knows about this gem! 🌳

Location: Mandai Boardwalk

📍 Located within the Singapore Zoo premises, accessing the hiking trail is straightforward. Simply follow the signposts directing you to the Singapore Zoo. Once you see the Mandai Boardwalk signs, you’ll find the trail entrance in no time!

Hiking Route Overview

This beautiful green trail winds around the Mandai riverside. If you’re lucky, you might encounter some adorable wildlife, such as monkeys, lizards, and owls along the way. Being adjacent to the zoo means you’ll even spot turtles 🐢 lounging in the river!

Main Trails

• 👟 Long Trail: This route spans 2.7 km. The entrance is easily identifiable when you walk from the parking lot towards the Singapore Zoo (look out for the big sign!). 🪧
• 👣 Short Trail: A quicker option at 0.6 km. You can access this trail from the entrance of the River Safari, located to the left as you face the main gate. 🫲
