Maximize Your Savings with TurboTax Premium: FAQ and Insights
Hello everyone! 🖐️ It’s your friendly savings blogger filling in some gaps with answers to your questions about the recently shared 🆓 TurboTax Premium deal. I’m here to ensure that I don’t just dig holes but also fill them! [disappointed R] So, guess what? I’ve gone through the process four times just to test out all scenarios. It wasn’t easy! [doge] ❤️ This guide should be used alongside my previous step-by-step tutorial (refer to Image Two).
1️⃣ Can I file complex tax situations with the free Online Premium version?
Absolutely! Many people are confused about the relationship between TurboTax desktop versions and the online versions. The highest tier in the online version is the Premium, which corresponds with the Home & Business option in the desktop version (not Premier!). You can report rental properties, stocks, and simple side jobs seamlessly.
2️⃣ If I used TurboTax last year, can I still benefit from this deal without changing my phone number? 📱
Yes, you can! I tried it, and it works just fine.
3️⃣ Do I need to change my email address to take advantage of the deal? 📧
YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). Some users have reported success without changing emails, but in my experience, I wasn’t able to activate the offer without creating a new account, which required a different email.
4️⃣ Can I import last year’s tax file? 📁
Yes! However, you’ll need to do it before you receive confirmation. The specific process is as follows: complete your basic information in the app → switch to your computer to import (see Image Three) → return to the app to submit your order. The process can get a bit complex, and some users have experienced error messages. If your tax situation isn’t too complicated, especially without multiple carryover deductions, it may be easier to avoid the import process altogether.
5️⃣ Why did I receive the Deluxe edition instead of the Premium? 🤔
This typically happens if your entered tax scenarios are too simple. Make sure to select income sources such as rental property and cryptocurrency.
6️⃣ Do I have to file before February 18th? 📅
According to TurboTax’s usual behavior, as long as you claim your spot before that date, you should be fine. Nonetheless, if you have all your tax forms ready, it’s better to file sooner rather than later!
That’s about it! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! I might not know everything, but perhaps another wonderful reader does! [smiling R]
