My Journey Through Education: From Ordinary Girl to Aspiring Jewelry Designer

Graduation season is here, and I thought it was the perfect time to reflect on my school journey! 🌟

Middle School: The Steady Climb 🥨

My middle school years were like many others—full of ordinary experiences. My studies were consistent, and after taking the entrance exams, I was accepted into my local high school. However, after discussing with my family, I found myself headed to Australia instead.

High School: Finding My Way 🥨

Transitioning to high school in a new country was challenging. I struggled to adapt to the new environment and its pace, which took a toll on my mental state. Fortunately, my mother came to Australia to support me, and gradually, I began to embrace Melbourne as my home. As a creative individual, I have always had a passion for art and design. By choosing courses beyond the core subjects, such as English and Math, I was able to dive into design and art classes that resonated with my interests.

University: Discovering My Passions 🥨

With my love for design, I pursued a degree in Visual Communication Design at Monash University on the advice of family and teachers. Despite receiving a scholarship for graduate studies and an offer from the University of Melbourne, I felt lost after three years. I realized that the design path I had chosen wasn’t my true passion. My Twitter feed was filled with hand-drawn jewelry sketches, which fueled my desire to pivot to jewelry design.

Master’s: A Year of Decision and Growth 🥨

Making a firm decision, I took a gap year to prepare for jewelry design—a field I was deeply passionate about. During this time, I taught myself jewelry sketching and design while interning with a brand I admired, KVK. My creative challenge was to design a piece of jewelry based on the theme “spider,” which required 3D modeling and rendering skills I had yet to learn. I dedicated a week to online tutorials and another week to finalize my design. This project not only enabled me to further develop my skill set but also secured my position within the company.

Future Aspirations: Jewelry Entrepreneurship in the UK 🥨

Now that I’ve secured my place in a jewelry academy in the UK, I am excited to venture into entrepreneurship in the jewelry sector. I know challenges lie ahead, yet I firmly believe that without trying, I won’t know my boundaries. For me, life is about overcoming obstacles—smooth sailing can be dull. Moreover, I strive to stop comparing myself to others; everyone leads a unique life journey. As long as I continue to improve from my past self, that’s what matters the most to me.

In summary, my journey through education has shaped my aspirations and taught me valuable lessons. Each experience, even the mundane ones, contributes to who I am today. Here’s to embracing challenges and crafting our unique paths in life! 🌈 #EducationalJourney #StudyingAbroad #JewelryDesign #Education #GrowthMindset #GraduationSeason
