A Weekend Adventure in Las Vegas
A Weekend Adventure in Las Vegas: Exploring the Excitement of Sin City 🎉
Who would have thought that after being tied down for so long, I would have a spontaneous getaway? 😅 I booked my ticket on Thursday and flew out the next evening! 🛫 Talk about living on the edge!
Day 0️⃣: Midnight Arrival in Vegas 🌙
Arriving in Las Vegas at such an odd hour only adds to the excitement of this city that never sleeps!
Day 1️⃣: The Highlights 🎭
1pm: Sphere – Postcard from Earth 🌍
Rating: 4.5/5 🌟
Ticket Price: $109 (Section 406, Row 13)
This breathtaking show pushed me to tears; truly a masterpiece for those who appreciate visuals! While some suggested it didn’t compare to “Flying Over the Horizon,” I found more depth and cultural representation in this experience. The sensation of flying over Earth truly transported me into space! The rocking seats and engaging scents were also a nice touch, making it worth every penny. The only downside? Not enough East Asian representation! 😅
3pm: Shopping at Wynn 🛍️
On a whim, I asked about the black 31 Nano bag at Chanel — to my surprise, the sales associate mentioned they had four available! After searching high and low for months, I quickly closed the deal. 🥹
4pm: David Copperfield’s Magic Show at MGM 🪄
Rating: 3.5/5 🌟
Ticket Price: $99
This show felt very much like the one I saw six years ago. Copperfield was my first introduction to magic, and while it’s nice to see him perform, I found myself reminiscing more than being amazed. It might suffice to catch it once but didn’t warrant a repeat.
5:30pm: Korean Cuisine at TangTangTang 🍚
Rating: 4/5 🌟
Average Price: $50/person
This famous eatery is decorated with signatures from various celebrities. While the side dishes were few but generous, the highlight was definitely the napa cabbage kimchi. Admittedly, the meat portion was on the smaller side, but our meal of beef hot pot and blood sausage soup hit the spot. Compared to Dahoe, this place offers a more subtle flavor profile.
7pm: Shin Lim’s Magic Show at the Venetian ♠️
Ticket Price: $99
Rating: 4.8/5 🌟
This card magic performance was phenomenal! I even dedicated a special post to him. 🐮🍺
Day 2️⃣: More Fun Awaits!
11:30am: Shanghai Alley 🇨🇳
Rating: 4/5 🌟
Average Price: $30/person
The sheng jian bao (pan-fried pork buns) and sweet and sour ribs were delightful. However, the red oil dumplings proved a bit too spicy for my Sichuan palate! 😅 Sitting at the bar allowed me to witness the lovely ladies making bao — their smiles were infectious! Hahaha!
1pm: Shopping on the Strip 🛍️
Exploring the iconic Las Vegas Strip is a must-do, filled with shops and attractions!
1:45pm: HAUS OF GAGA – A Free Exhibition 🎤
Word of advice: if this were in San Francisco, they would charge around $30. What a treat to see Lady Gaga’s legendary outfits and classic looks from her music videos. 💖
