In 2025, I embarked on another adventure to South America, starting my journey in the vibrant nation of Brazil. My first destination? The breathtaking Amazon Rainforest.

Discovering the Amazon: An Untamed Paradise

The Amazon Rainforest, as a travel destination, remains relatively underdeveloped. Many parts of this extraordinary area are lacking in modern conveniences. Visitors frequently report challenges such as limited facilities, basic accommodation, and the omnipresent buzzing of mosquitoes. 🌿 For someone like me who prefers a touch of comfort, camping in such conditions seemed a bit daunting—the days of embracing rugged experiences are behind me!

Luxury in the Heart of Nature: Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge

For this trip, I opted to stay at the Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, renowned as one of the most luxurious eco-hotels in South America. This all-inclusive resort covers not just lodging but also transportation (round-trip from Manaus), meals, and a range of thrilling jungle activities. While longer stays range from 7 days and 6 nights to 5 days and 4 nights, my busy schedule only allowed for a brief escape of 3 days and 2 nights to soak in the lush wonders of the Amazon.

Your Itinerary: A Glimpse Into the Adventure

Here’s a brief outline of my trip:

• DAY 1: Flew from São Paulo to Manaus and checked into Villa Amazonia, a stunning hotel within the same group (stay tuned for more details on that). ✈️
• DAY 2: Departed at 08:30 from the hotel and enjoyed a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, followed by afternoon jungle activities.
• DAY 3: Spent the entire day basking in various lodge activities, fully immersing myself in the rainforest’s charm.
• DAY 4: Engaged in morning activities, checked out after lunch, and returned to Manaus.
