Consider visiting the days before or after the lottery dates. Drive directly to the small parking area in front of Elkmont Campground. If the lot is full, park along the small road. However, do note that arriving later means you’ll have to walk further to the viewing point!
Method 2: Stay at the Campsite! 🏕️
If you weren’t able to secure a vehicle pass, book a spot at Elkmont Campground. Even without vehicle access, you can easily walk to the viewing area since the campsite is next to the Little River Trail—super convenient!
Method 3: Plan C Might Be Your Best Bet! 📍
If all else fails, book a site at Cades Cove Campground. Here, you can spot ordinary fireflies that provide a similar visual experience with fewer crowds.
