Discovering Hidden Gems: A New Chinese Restaurant in Long Island City!

Recently, I took a stroll through Long Island City (LIC) and stumbled upon a newly opened Chinese restaurant that has already made waves with its Michelin-star recommendation from Hong Kong! 🌟 Curious to try it out, I dived into the menu, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The prices are incredibly affordable, with most dishes under $20. Can you believe the signature dish, Professor’s Stir-Fried Pork, is only $11.99? 🤣 The freshness is remarkable, and there are no pre-packaged meals here—everything is cooked to order!

Must-Try Dishes

  • Professor’s Stir-Fried Pork: This dish may seem simple with its basic ingredients, but the rush of flavors thanks to its perfect cooking technique made it incredibly tasty. The pork pieces are well-balanced in fat and lean meat, creating an aromatic delight!
  • Garlic Scallion Beef: Tender beef is sautéed with garlic scallions to give a savory kick that pairs perfectly with rice. It’s a dish you won’t forget! 💯
  • Stir-Fried Yellow Beef: This dish stands out with its exceptionally tender and juicy beef, stir-fried to perfection. Everything is cooked fresh, which is a huge plus!
  • Home-Style Fried Tea Tree Mushrooms: Surprisingly, tea tree mushrooms are fantastic in stir-fries! Paired with a little bit of meat, it strikes the right balance and avoids dryness.
  • Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce: Another delightful option with bold flavors that really brings out the star of the dish!

Besides these, I also tried Fish-Flavored Shredded Pork and Stir-Fried Organic Cauliflower, both of which were quite commendable. I am quite envious of those in LIC; I hope they bring their delicious offerings to Jersey City soon!
