12:30 PM – Charuma Tea Bar (Salt & Crispy Chicken)

Location: 45 Weybosset St, Providence, RI 02903

Start your day with a taste of Taiwan at Charuma Tea Bar. We sampled the crispy chicken options and ranked our top three flavors: deliciously spicy and fragrant Salt and Five Spice, sweet and savory Sweet Plum Powder, and umami-rich Nori. Pair your meal with their milk tea – it’s decent, but you might find better options nearby! Pro tip: There’s parking available at The Arcade Garage for your convenience.

1:00 PM – RISD Museum (Rhode Island School of Design Museum)

Location: 20 N Main St, Providence, RI 02903

After lunch, stroll about 10 minutes to the renowned RISD Museum. With entrance fees at $20 for adults and $10 for students, it’s an affordable cultural experience. The museum features a vast array of artworks spanning from ancient Egyptian artifacts to modern masterpieces. Embrace the beauty of Asian art, with exquisite pieces from China, Japan, and India, along with European works from the medieval period to the 19th century. Enjoy a less crowded atmosphere that lets you immerse yourself in the art!

4:00 PM – Pastiche Fine Desserts (Fruit Tart)

Location: 92 Spruce St, Providence, RI 02903

After your artistic exploration, treat yourself to a luscious fruit tart from Pastiche Fine Desserts. You can pre-order online or simply walk in for a single slice. The balance of tangy fresh fruit with creamy filling and buttery crust is simply divine – it’s rich yet not overwhelming, making it the perfect afternoon delight!

5:00 PM – Jahunger (Xinjiang Cuisine)

Location: 333 Wickenden St, Providence, RI 02903

No visit to Rhode Island would be complete without dining at Jahunger. This spot is notorious for its delicious Xinjiang dishes and it’s no wonder the queue forms quickly! Open only for dinner on weekdays, it’s vital to arrive early. We joined the line by 7:40 PM and waited about half an hour. Each dish we tried was fantastic and offered great value for money.
