Volvo Truck Maintenance: A Day in Our Repair Shop 🚛🔧
Today, we had the pleasure of working on a 2019 Volvo truck at our repair facility. The first task was to install our custom-designed parking air conditioning unit. As soon as the external unit was unveiled, its stunning blue body was hard to resist! But no sooner had we finished the installation than the truck revealed its challenges: three error codes related to the particle sensor, low nitrogen conversion rate, and an abnormal water level sensor. With the truck’s DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) having covered 700,000 miles without a clean, we took this opportunity for a thorough maintenance session!
Tackling the DPF: A Tough Challenge
The journey to removing the DPF was not a smooth one. The peanut shell clamp was stuck tight; various methods were unsuccessful, and it was only through the expertise of our seasoned technician that we finally managed to loosen it up!
The Healing Blue of the DPF
After extracting it, we were greeted with a beautiful “lake-blue” look, which was quite soothing amidst the chaos. However, this DPF really made us work for it, being stubbornly stuck in place. It took a monumental effort to dislodge it, but we finally prevailed!
Inspection and Professional Testing
Once we inspected the DPF, we found no cracks or leaks, which was a relief! We promptly sent it to our specialized DPF workshop for professional testing. This stage is crucial to ensure the truck operates optimally and meets all necessary regulations.
Stay tuned for our next segment, where we’ll share the inspection results! We’re here to bring you behind the scenes of truck maintenance and keep you informed on everything from Volvo DPF structures to practical maintenance tips. 🛠️
