Delicious Adventures at a Local Chinese Restaurant in the USA
If you are looking for a place that serves mouth-watering dishes bursting with flavor, I highly recommend you visit this delightful restaurant I’ve been to multiple times. Recently, I went with friends for dinner and was excited to discover that they had introduced new menu items! 🍽️
New Highlights on the Menu
🔹 Spicy Flavored Fish
This dish features fish chopped into small pieces, expertly fried to achieve an incredible crunch. The accompanying sauce is a zesty blend of sour and spicy flavors, with a subtle sweetness that elevates the dish. It’s incredibly appetizing and the texture is delightful!
🔸 Spicy Frog with Fat Intestines
This dish is always a must-order for me, ever since I tried it at another famous establishment. 😂 This time, however, it was notably spicier! The combination of spice and fragrance makes it impossible to resist. With crispy slices of lotus root and well-seasoned fat intestines, every bite is bursting with flavor. It’s rare to find such crunchy fat intestines, and I couldn’t get enough. The frog is also pre-fried and coated in the delightful sauce—absolutely delicious!
🔹 Peking Duck
I ordered the half serving, which included crispy skin that’s perfect for wrapping up with, while the bones were used to make a flavorful soup. The skin was sliced well, featuring a bit of meat to avoid any greasiness. Don’t be misled by the five pieces of wrapping; there are layers to it, ensuring you get more than you expect. The soup was fresh with some greens and tofu floating inside—it was a bargain at $39.90!
🔸 Appetizer Choices 🈵
With a minimum order, I got the fresh pork soup dumplings. A tip for future diners: make sure to scroll down the menu to see all the offerings! 😊
🔹 Garlic Bone Ribs
I expected these ribs to be the same as those from another famous place, but they were prepared differently—and I found them to be better! They were not greasy, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were generous.
Overall Experience
Everything we ordered, including the sautéed green beans and stir-fried noodles, was delicious and satisfying. The portion sizes were quite generous as well. In total, our meal cost just under $160, averaging around $30 per person, and we even had leftovers! 🥳
📍 Location: A local favorite at Old Consul (2nd Floor of New World)
