Every year, I find myself making a trip to Flushing, perhaps due to that deep-rooted yearning for all the delicious foods my homeland has to offer. This year, I embarked on my 2025 adventure! Flushing has welcomed many new eateries since my last visit, and I couldn’t wait to explore them all! 🥳

Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a rush this time around. I hit the infamous New York traffic, and by the time I arrived in Flushing, it was already dinnertime. 😢 Despite my eagerness to indulge in a feast with friends, I could only manage a single dinner before heading home. Food Prices: A Surprising Shift 💸

It’s hard to ignore that Flushing’s prices have risen dramatically over the past year. A simple sesame biscuit now costs around $7, and an egg tart goes for about $8. Bubble tea starts at $7 as well! It seems my humble paycheck isn’t quite keeping up with these rising costs… sigh. 😩 Such is the life of a hardworking individual!

A Quick Parking Hack 🚗

I first parked at New World Mall, where you can enjoy free parking for two hours with a purchase over $50 at J Mart. Know what that means? A perfect opportunity to grab my beloved bubble tea and some quick snacks! Afterward, it was a mad dash back to the parking lot before heading off to Tang Chao Hot Pot for dinner. To my delight, I discovered that this hot pot restaurant also offers free parking—saving me a few bucks! 🎉
