For many aspiring immigrants, the pathway through U.S. immigration can resemble a maze of waiting, paperwork, and emotional ups and downs. Having observed others’ timelines and experiences, I’ve decided to share my own journey through this intricate process. 🌼🌹

The Path Taken

I believe my experience reflects the common pace most people experience—it isn’t too fast nor too slow, just part of the standard flow. From what I hear, the overall timeline has sped up, but here’s how my process unfolded:

• November 15, 2022: Submitted my PWD
• March-April 2023: Started recruiting advertisements
• June 2, 2023: Received PWD approval (7.5 months)
• July 14, 2023: Submitted PERM (PD) (Took about 1.5 months after PWD approval)

A Year Later

Fast forward to a year later, my timeline continues:

• August 30, 2024: Received PERM approval (13.5 months)
• September 13, 2024: Filled out Form B (current row priority date)
• October 2, 2024: Completed I-485 medical check
• October 25, 2024: Submitted Forms 140PP, 131, 765, 485, and medical records
• November 2, 2024: Received USCIS receipt notice (1 week)
• November 7, 2024: Approved Form 140PP (🔒 PD)
• November 22, 2024: Received fingerprint appointment notice
• November 29, 2024: Completed ASC fingerprinting
• January 14, 2025: I-765 approval
• January 17, 2025: I-765 card production
• January 21, 2025: Received I-765 EAD card (valid for 5 years)
• May 13, 2025: Form A made current
• August 18, 2025: AP approved
• August 26, 2025: AP delivered

Reflections on the Journey

This journey can feel daunting, yet rewarding. I find solace in the thought that while I might not know when I will receive my green card, having both an Advance Parole (AP) and Employment Authorization Document (EAD) provides a sense of freedom. 💖

As I navigate this process, I’ve learned that the best approach is often to focus on life in the present rather than fixating on the outcome of immigration.
