Our adventure began at Art Omi, a unique outdoor sculpture park where art and nature intertwine. The experience had a surreal, almost dreamlike quality.

In the afternoon, we headed to Lake George. Although the leaves weren’t fully transformed, the lake was an unexpected shade of blue that left us mesmerized. Taking a boat tour here is a must—there’s nothing quite like it!

Day 2: Hiking Indian Head and Rainbow Falls Trail

No fall trip to the Adirondacks would be complete without a hike. This year, we took on the Indian Head and Rainbow Falls Trail, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The breathtaking views of radiant fall foliage made every grueling step of the challenging 17 km trail worth it. Standing at the cliff’s edge, looking out upon a kaleidoscope of colors, we understood the allure of the great outdoors.

Fun Fact: Hiking to Indian Head requires a permit, and trail monitors are present at the trailhead to check. If you’re driving to Keene Valley, you can use your vehicle ticket in place of a permit!

Day 3: The Charming Catskill Town

We wrapped up our journey in the enchanting town of Catskill. This slow-paced little gem invites visitors to meander through its countless quaint shops, many of which feature adorable cat-themed merchandise. It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon of exploration and a little bit of tranquility.
